Automatic welding - Plasma process

These installations consist of one power source, one control box and one torch. The latter is positioned on either a column and boom, a beam or, although seldom, on a self- propelled carriage according to the type of work to achieve.

The advantages of SAF plasma process :

  • Reduces the preparation times of the workpieces to be welded
  • Shortens the welding time
  • Ensures a complete and regular penetration
  • Yields high quality results
  • Guarantees a very good reproductibility
  • Produces a faultless weld bead aspect

SAF proposes 4 installations :

PLASMA BUFFALO :

A high performance plasma torch associated to a rugged 380A at 100% power source for classical applications.

Applications : welding stainless steel plates in the boiler making industry, short seamer benches, deconfined welding of small workpieces in series.
Primary : 3x380/400/415 V - 50-60 Hz
Secondary : 20 to 380 A at 100 %
Torch : SP 6 (380 A at 100 %)

PLASMA 300 TR :

SP6 torch supplied by the NERTAMATIC 300 TR power source capable of pulsing its output current at programmable frequencies up to 500 Hz.

Applications : Deconfined plasma welding of small workpieces in large series. Continuous welding of tubes or thin-walled sheaths.
Primary : 220/230/380/400/415/440 V - 50-60 Hz
Secondary : 300 A at 100 %
Torch : SP 6 (380 A at 100 %)

PLASMA MP :

Modular installations .
Adjustment by 10 turn potentiometer.
Numerical display of current / voltage- wire speed/ movement speed and plasma gas flow.
Can be supplied by a NERTAMATIC 300 TR or NERTINOX TH 500 power source.

Applications : all stainless steel boiler making works. As an option : gas programmation for "keyhole" closure.
Primary : 220/230/380/400/415/440 V (NERTAMATIC)
220/380/415 or 380/440/500 V (NERTINOX)
Secondary : 300 or 500 A at 100 %
Torch : SP 6 (380 A at 100 %)

MANAGER :

High technology control system allowing a modular assembly of the selected functions

Applications : all metal, all dimension boiler making : nuclear and chemical engineering, aeronautical construction...Prefabrication of stainless steel or carbon steel pipes.
Primary : 220/230/380/400/415/440 V - 50-60 Hz
Secondary : 300 A at 100 %
Torch : SP 6 (380 A at 100 %)

The associated torch :

PLASMA SP 6
