The essential solution
for a high quality MIG-MAG welding
As
a powerful solution for MIG welding and brazing, this new MIG-MAG
inverter technology installation products both smooth and pulsed
current. It allows the use of all solid or flux cored wires (f
0.8-1.2 mm)
for
the welding of non alloyed and stainless steels, and aluminium
including aluminium bronze (Cupro Aluminium).
To
meet the welders’ expectations for ease of operation, yet without
compromising on weld quality and productivity, SAF (a company of the
Air Liquide Welding group) has designed the OPTIPULS 280i.
Its weight and compact size make it very easy to transport. It’s a
real advantage for assembling applications in workshops and
worksites.
Thanks to
its power and the SHORT ARC+
mode, OPTIPULS is the best equipment for
applications on thin thickness fabrication, repair, thin boiler
making, body working and automobile sub-contracting.
The
SHORT ARC+ mode makes the
carbon steel welding easier: it allows faster welding speed,
it allows very thin plates welding (less than 1 mm), it improves
penetration shapes, and reduces weld spatters and plates deformation.
The SEQUENCER mode gives
a better aspect of beads on light alloys.
Equipped
with a very simple front panel which allows an easy access to the
welding parameters, OPTIPULS 280i is the easiest and most user
friendly MIG inverter
installation of the market thanks to the OPTI’System which adapts
each welding parameter to the most suitable condition for the
application.
The
4 roll wire-feed unit DV 44i stows
easily on top of the power supply. Its low weight and minimum
overall dimensions allow to pass it through a manhole.
It is also rugged
and reliable (no on-board electronics).
A
230-400 V three phase multi-voltage solution is possible thanks to
the POWER BOX.
With
this new power source, SAF completes its OPTIPULS i range, divided
into three power sources: 270A, 350A and 500A amperes and proposes
an innovative solution which really improves productivity by raising
the welders’ operating comfort and weld quality.
