Descours & Cabaud : a highly specialised multi-specialist

Set up in the heartland of general mechanics, the Saint-Etienne plant of Descours & Cabaud is part of Prolians, the multi-specialist network of the Group.

It has been a SAF distributor since November 2002. "Our distinguishing feature, points out Pierre Tholot, its commercial director, is our diversification. We have a diversified clientele: from craftsmen through to large companies, we reach a wide range of customers in the building industry. We also have a diversified offering: the plant proposes a very wide range of products (welding equipment, industrial supplies, heating and health products, etc.).
Equipped with a cutting tool department, it is one of the most wide-ranging agencies in the Group."

The company is currently reorganising its warehouse by setting up trade-based sections (plumbing/heating, metallurgy, building and public works, industry, etc.).

"Our ambition, continues Pierre Tholot, is to become increasingly specialised in each field and we are setting up specific teams for each trade. In welding for example we have reinforced our After-Sales Service with the aim of becoming an approved SAF repairer. What won us over to SAF was its reputation, its extensive catalogue and its structure. Together we are developing a real partnership."

An attraction that works both ways. "Descours & Cabaud, stresses Jacques Neyret, SAF head of sector, is developing towards ever greater reactivity by optimising its customer service, one of our strongest lines".
